It's been an incredibly busy month for our Lily Lagoon Resort team, catering for not one, but two huge events in June.
First the team took were engaged to support the 2024 Kimberley Colts Championship for Under 19 Boys, where a selection of teams from the West Kimberley, Central Kimberley, and East Kimberley convened in Kununurra for this year’s tournament.
As part of our commitment to this event, our wonderful hospitality team from Lily Lagoon Resort provided lunch packs on Sunday as well as a post-presentation dinner at the Kununurra Town Oval. Our team did a fantastic job catering to more than 100 players and their support crews, ensuring everyone was well-nourished and could focus on their performance!
Additionally, our KNX Community Hostel team were delighted to offer accommodation for the participants over the long weekend, ensuring they had a safe and comfortable place to stay and rest between matches.
The second event in a jam packed back-to-back pair of weekends saw Lily Lagoon Resort play host for the 2024 Dragon Boat Ord River Marathon.
With eight boats, 120 paddlers, and 55km of breathtaking scenery, this years event concluded with a delicious evening dinner under the lights of Lily Lagoon Resort's outdoor dining area, where our hospitality team did a marvelous job catering for the 170 guests in attendance.
It was an epic day of challenges, camaraderie and adventure, and we'd like to say a special thanks to the Kununurra Dragon Boat Club for inviting us to take part in this fantastic event.
