Welcome to the KNX Community Hostel

The KNX (Kununurra) Community Hostel provides a safe, supportive, and respectful environment where residents can focus on building a brighter future. Guided by our mission of Empowering Your Future, we offer a haven for young people to grow in stability, independence, and well-being.

Located at 302, 44603 Victoria Highway, Kununurra WA, towards Lake Argyle, the KNX Community Hostel operates in partnership with MG Corporation. Funded by State, Federal Government and partner agencies and managed by Wunan Foundation Incorporated, the hostel provides a home for Aboriginal youth engaged in training, education, or employment.

Our Facilities
We offer large, comfortable single units with shared bathrooms, a kitchen, living and laundry facilities. The outdoor area spans 3 acres and includes:

Our Staff
Our fully trained support staff live on-site and are available 24/7 to assist with daily living and personal needs. A dedicated Case Support Worker collaborates with participants, employers, and trainers to ensure success.

Partnerships
We work closely with employers, trainers, and other organisations to support participants in achieving their goals and increasing completion rates.

How We Assist
Our goal is to empower participants to achieve independence by:

  • Developing individualised case management plans
  • Addressing personal and social barriers with the help of external service providers and health professionals
  • Building life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and time management
  • Improving work skills, including punctuality, reliability, and communication
  • Supporting training and employment opportunities

Participants can stay with us for up to two years, allowing them to focus on their goals before transitioning to independent housing.
