Wunan to host the Mineral Council of Australia East Kimberley Employment and Enterprise Development Coordinator – Peter Gulliver
Wunan is the host organisation for the newly contracted Mineral Council of Australia East Kimberley Employment and Enterprise Development Coordinator.
The role is one of several created round the nation and Peter Gulliver (pictured) has been contracted to improve coordination and communication enabling industry, government and communities to work together to enhance Aboriginal employment and enterprise development outcomes in mining and other industries.
With the guidance of a steering committee, Peter will be responsible for supporting the piloting and implementation of policies and strategies to address critical structural and cultural impediments which limit the employment of Aboriginal people and the growth and development of Aboriginal businesses, as well as working with relevant regional stakeholders to identify employment, training and enterprise development opportunities for Aboriginal people.
