Working with Wesfarmers

Wunan has entered into an exciting new partnership with Wesfarmers to become an Indigenous Employment Broker for the company in the Kununurra region.
An Indigenous Employment Coordinator, funded by Wesfarmers and employed by Wunan, will work to support 25 to 30 local Indigenous people into jobs at Coles and Target in Kununurra over the next 12 months.
The ‘Broker’ model has been strongly established by Wesfarmers in the town of Shepparton in country Victoria, where significant progress has been made towards increasing the number of local Indigenous people employed at the region’s Coles and Target stores.
Wunan looks forward to developing a strong link with the program in Shepparton and to building on its success in Kununurra, where we hope to see significantly more Indigenous people taking up positions in our local Coles and Target stores.
