Workforce Development Centre – Cherie’s Journey

Cherie Bush was passionate about accounting and eager to gain employment within the accounting sector. She decided the first step towards her goal was to update and refresh her resume and so she did at the Workforce Development Centre. It was during this process that Lina, Career Advisor at the Workforce Development Centre, realised Cherie’s great attitude, experience and skills could be utilised within any finance team and approached Wunan’s accounts’ department on her behalf. As a result of this Cherie was able to secure a position and commenced her role as Trainee Accounts Coordinator at Wunan two weeks later. She has since settled in well at Wunan.
Cherie and her partner, Jacob, have since applied for Wunan’s Transitional Housing Program and have been successful in that also. Their family look forward to moving into their new home in the very near future
