Wunan is dedicated to identifying and promoting positive Aboriginal role models in the East Kimberley and encourages and promotes Aboriginal participation in the social and economic opportunities of the region.

The EKAAA’s are a regionally focused event that recognises Aboriginal Achievement by providing a night for the community to come together to celebrate the achievements of these people.  The EKAAA’s have been an annual event held in Kununurra since 2007 and in this time has grown into a well respected, significant event on our region’s calendar.

Aboriginal people who contribute to their community help build a stronger communal culture of success and progression in the people around them which ultimately helps enrich the lives of all those living and working in the community.
