Wunan Health is a social enterprise with 100% of our profits used to support programs that improve primary health care and aim to unlock the potential of Aboriginal people in the East Kimberley.

The practice provides an amazingly broad scope of medical and nursing services such as skin checks and procedures, industrial medicine, chronic disease management, pre-employment medicals, shared antenatal care, women’s health, men’s health, Aboriginal health checks and palliative care support.


We are seeking two experienced and highly motivated individual to fill the role of Practice Nurse to join the team at Kununurra’s only private medical centre.

You will need to have PRIMARY HEALTH CARE/CHRONIC DISEASE/COLD CHAIN experience to join our growing team. The successful applicant will ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the Practice and provide an exceptional care to our patients.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

• Strong leadership skills and mentorship

• Ability to work cooperatively and independently

• Ability to prioritise and organise with attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills

• Appropriate tertiary qualification & AHPRA registration certificate

• Qualified immunisation provider

• Exposure to Audiology testing (desirable)

• Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience


Kununurra is located in the picturesque Kimberley region. It’s a place of rugged beauty, unique landscape and rich Aboriginal culture. Kununurra boasts a tropical climate and many attractions such as Lake Argyle, Ivanhoe Crossing, Kelly’s Knob, Kununurra Diversion Dam/Lake Kununurra, Lily Lagoons and Mirima National Park. The city of Darwin is only an hour flight away.
