Wunan Health – Medical Receptionist
Wunan Health is a is a multi-disciplinary and accredited private medical practice that serves the East Kimberley region. Our team of dedicated and experienced medical practitioners provide high-quality medical care to the local community and to the many visitors to our magnificent region. Conveniently located in the town centre of Kununurra in a brand new purpose-built facility, Wunan Health & Well-Being Centre is proudly owned and operated by Wunan Foundation, an East Kimberley Aboriginal development organisation.Wunan Health is looking for a Medical Receptionist who can be part of our dedicated and energetic team.
About the role
This is a full time position from 8.00-4.30pm/8.30-5.00pm – Monday to Friday.
We are looking for entry level or experienced candidates who have a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, good communication skills, can deal with challenges well and with a smile and are able to work under pressure.
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in an administrative position preferred, however Wunan Health will pay for and provide time for you to complete a Cert III in Business (Medical Admin).
Key responsibilities:
- Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner
- Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically
- Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
- Liaise with GP’s, other health professionals and their staff
- Make appointments via a computer booking system
- Fax, scan and file documents electronically
- Prepare banking and mail and using an EFTPOS facility.
- Able to work with Microsoft Office and Best Practice (BP) software
