EKAAAs 2015

1 October 2015

At an elegant event under the stars in Kununurra recently, the biennial Aboriginal Achievement Awards (EKAAAs) were presented to some extraordinary local Aboriginal achievers.

Around 350 people, including a State Minister and several Federal MPs, came together to recognise and celebrate the great work that Aboriginal people and organisations are doing in the East Kimberley.

Professor Marcia Langton AM, one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal scholars, delivered a thought-provoking speech, commending the Aboriginal leadership of the East Kimberley on their vision and determination to bring change to the region.

Wunan warmly congratulates all nominees and winners and wishes them all the best for the future.
