Creating Opportunities with Northern Minerals

9 January 2020

On the 22nd of November, Northern Minerals held the opening of the new Training Facility in their Browns Range mine site. Executive Chairman Ian Trust and Richard Beeck (Wunan Employment & Training Manager), Hon. Melissa Price MP (Federal Member for Durack) and Mr. Colin McCavana (Non-Executive Chairman of Northern Minerals) attended the ceremony.

The training facility structure was constructed by Wunan Maintenance Services, in partnership with Thermal Comfort Homes. The structure was assembled off-site and freighted to the Browns Range mine site to complete the final installations.

The Northern Minerals mine site is centred around the Browns Range Dome and covers an area exceeding 3500 square kilometres. The site is highly prospective for heavy rare earth (HRE) mineralisation and has the potential for further discoveries.

Wunan’s Employment & Training division has partnered with Northern Minerals to deliver a range of 6 week training programs in the near future. These training programs are designed to equip participants with various skills that will open up many employment possibilities within and beyond the mining industry.
