Casey joined Wunan as our Receptionist/Administration Assistant earlier this year.
She is Kija from her father’s side and Jaru from her mother’s side and she and her family are from Halls Creek, around four hours’ drive from Kununurra.
Casey moved to Kununurra recently to improve her chances of getting a job. She worked casually for Wunan for a few weeks, and her performance, attitude and friendly manner saw her secure a permanent full-time role with us.
“I love my job because it’s a great opportunity for me to gain more skills, become more confident, and meet and get to know new people,” says Casey
“I like working for Wunan because it makes me feel good about myself knowing that by working here, I’m helping other people out.”
Casey’s proudest achievements so far are finishing Year 12, getting her driving licence and becoming independent.
Casey would one day like to become an air hostess and travel around the world.
