Wunan’s Indigenous Money Mentor – MoneySmart Week Award Nominee Finalist

23 July 2013

The MoneySmart Week Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals working to improve Australians’ financial literacy.

The definition of financial literacy used by MoneySmart Week is: the ability to make informed judgements and to take effective decisions regarding the use and management of money.

The MoneySmart Week Awards brings together like-minded people and organisations to share knowledge and promote and foster partnerships.

Wunan’s Indigenous Money Mentor, Cherie McAdam, has been nominated for this prestigious award and as of 22 July, has received confirmation that she has been shortlisted.

Cherie’s book, Moneybird, outlines the traits of five birds in relation to money management characteristics, then gives the reader advice based on which bird they identify with.  She will soon be publishing follow on books on gambling and education.

We are so very proud of Cherie and can’t wait to celebrate this and future successes with her.
