Employment Opportunities at Wunan

Wunan is looking for a suitably experienced person to manage delivery of its employment, training and career development support services and to lead the development of new services. These role includes working with Wunan staff employed at Jobs and Skills Centres in Kununurra and Broome and progressing a service agreement with Coles in the Kimberley.

 

The person we are looking for will have the capacity to:

  • Supervise and support the work of a team
  • Communicate effectively
  • Plan and deliver employment and training services to a professional standard
  • Engage with the community
  • Promote community participation in employment and training initiatives
  • Accurately collect and record relevant data
  • Report on performance
  • Work collaboratively with funding bodies and service delivery partners.

 

The successful applicant must have:

  • A current Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance
  • Valid Driver licence
  • Relevant previous experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
  • Knowledge skills and experience in the field of Aboriginal employment and training
  • A willingness to obtain relevant qualifications if required
  • An understanding of community development principles.
