In February 2019 Lyndon Brandy and Shulyn Hunter from the Wunan Jobs and Skills Centre team in Broome successfully supported 13 candidates as they began their journey to become the newest Coles employees.  Lyndon and Shulyn successfully recruited an initial intake of 33 candidates who participated in a screening assessment process, these candidates were provided with employment and interview readiness support where needed. From the initial 33 candidates, 23 candidates successfully secured a preliminary interview and from these 23 people, 17 people were shortlisted for interviews in store with the Coles Broome Store Manager.

Following the final in-store interviews, 13 candidates were offered employment at Coles Broome. The 13 successful candidates then completed an online induction process and various online training modules. Following compeletion of the in-store and online induction, the new employees were allocated rosters and are now members of the Coles Broome Team.

In March, Sienna Howard, Priscilla Hotereni and Bill Hearne from the Wunan Jobs and Skills Centre team in Kununurra successfully applied the same process to recruit and place 16 candidates with the Coles store in Kununurra.  Sienna and the JSC team in Kununurra successfully recruited 33 candidates who then participated in the process, 25 of the candidates were selected for preliminary interviews in this process.  At the completion of this recruitment and selection process, 21 people were offered in-store interviews with the Manager of the Kununurra store.  From these interviews, 16 people were successfully offered employment on completion of inductions and training.
