Spotlight on Staff – Natasha Short, General Manager

1 October 2015

Following a recent organisational restructure, Natasha was promoted to the new role of General Manager, Programs & Indigenous Leadership. She now oversees all of Wunan’s programs in housing, education and employment, as well as leading policy development, governance training and leadership programs.

Natasha has been a manager with Wunan since 2013, and prior to this she served as a Director on the Wunan Board. A descendant of the Djaru people, Natasha’s original home town is Halls Creek, but she’s spent most of her life in Kununurra.

Natasha strongly believes that education is the doorway to a prosperous future for Aboriginal people.  She has worked extensively across the Kimberley region in the areas of justice and education, supporting Indigenous people to broaden their horizons and benefit from the opportunities that modern Australia has to offer.
