Wunan is in the process of restructuring the Kununurra Parents and Community Engagement (PaCE) program with the anticipated funding that will be available next calendar year. The position of a full time Senior Support Worker will be available for members of the community to apply for.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and schedule a range of meetings, activities and workshops for clients.
  • Modelling and complying with Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities, including policies, operating procedures and instructions.
  • Undertaking comprehensive community engagement to inform communities, organisations and individuals about the service.
  • Advocating on behalf of clients to ensure that community services assist individuals to meet their needs.

 

This position will require the applicants to have the following skills: 

  • Microsoft skills for Planning, Data Collection and advocacy.
  • Be capable of community engagement.
  • Develop networks and partnerships.
  • Case management.
  • Write and develop programs.
  • Build a strong referral network.
  • Work with and motivate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

 

The successful applicants must have:

  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Valid Driver licence.
  • Relevant previous experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
