What a great start to the 2019 School year, it has been great to see the way our Students have settled into their respective Houses and Schools. A big thank you to all our families for your support in getting students prepared and ready on time, for their organised travel arrangements. A special mention to all the Chaperones that travelled with their family members, it makes the transition for students leaving their communities for the first time, a little easier knowing that they have that support. A big shout out to our Houseparents who have been magnificent in the care, direction and guidance they give to our students Can I please ask families for their support in keeping good lines of communication with our Houseparents, any information from the community that may affect your family member, is a great help for houseparents in making sure that students are supported. Latifah Rogers has commenced in the Kimberley Education Excellence Program (KEEP) in our Dural House, Sydney NSW in term one of 2019.  Latifah joined the program to expand her knowledge academically as well as adjusting to new life experiences while she attends Pacific Hills Christian School.  Latifah sees Wunan Foundation’s KEEP program as a supportive network in helping plan for her future and aims to graduate the program with a set career goal. Latifah not only has school commitments with her relocation from the Northern Territory but also elite netball potential, she received a number of supportive recommendations from coaches that lead to her being invited to join the Under 17s NT National’s netball team.
