Wunan are seeking applications for the position of Home Interactive Program for Youngsters (HIPPY) Co-ordinator. The position is based in Kununurra. HIPPY aims to empower parents and support parents to guide thier pre-school-age children’s early learning experiences and help their children reasise success by beginning school ready to learn. Wunan are seeking applications for the position of House Parent, Kimberley Excellence Education Program (KEEP). The position is based in Sydney with some travel required. KEEP aims to transform lives through the power of education. The program provides Aboriginal high school students with ‘home like’ accommodation to enable them to attend school in Perth and Sydney. The House Parent is responsible for the care of students, parental engagement, liaison with schools, and day-to-day management of the facility. In addition, the House Parent undertakes administrative, financial and reporting tasks related to KEEP. We are seeking a mature person passionate about the value of a safe and secure early childhood for creating future well being of the individual. The job involves coordinating an outreach parent support outreach program in the small town of Wyndham , W.A., The work focuses on newborns to 3 year olds and particularly supporting their parents in the parenting role. The coordinator will need good interpersonal skills, be able to network, be IT proficient and be able to manage a small team of workers. It is a mostly aboriginal population.
