It is always a pleasure to receive calls from our past clients who have taken advantage of the opportunities presented to them and value them so highly that they make a decision to give back to the community. After traveling from Kununurra to Perth to study a Cert III in Laboratory Studies Brontae has changed direction and taken up a Business Administration Traineeship with Woodside. One thing that hasn’t changed is her long term goal to study science or media relations  at university.   Read More.

Wunan had a great meeting with the parents of Dural excellence program in Halls Creek.  Discussions were held around how parents of the students could connect with teachers in Dural Sydney through skype as well as how they could better support their kids while they were away in school. The group was facilitated and supported by Wunan’s PaCE Coordinator Grace Lewis, Mnanger of the Halls Creek Children and Family Centre Robert Reichel and Wunan’s Living Change Community Liaison Officer Vincent Skeen. The parents will now meet on monthly so as to support eachother and work together to support their children’s education.   Read More.

Wunan Job Services in Halls Creek would like to say a very big THANK YOU to RAPLEY WILKINSON BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION Wunan Job Services was approached late last year with the opportunity to supply Rapley Wilkinson  Building and Construction with workers on a building project to construct 18 houses in Halls Creek. They offered a Traineeship in OSH and a Permanent position as a Site Labourer for fulltime employment. This was welcome news as the offer came at a very opportune time as a Construction course had just been completed in Halls Creek.   Read More.

The Werlemen partnership consisting of Wunan, Kimberley District High School, Department of Child Protection and MG Corp have held their first meeting for 2012.  On the agenda was the review of the MOU between the partners which was assisted by the School Business Community Partnership Broker The year has started well with 4 girls heading to Boarding school and with 10 girls enrolled in the program so far for 2012.   Read More.
